Is there an English-speaking Masonic lodge in Taipei?
Yes. Amity Lodge No. 1 is an English-speaking Masonic lodge in Taipei under the jurisdiction of the Grand Lodge of China.
Can a Freemason from another country visit Amity Lodge?
Visiting brethren are welcome to inquire, but attendance must be arranged in advance. Contact Amity before travel and follow the recognition and credential procedures of your own Grand Lodge.
When does Amity Lodge meet?
The regular meeting is on the third Friday of each month, except July and August. Visitors should arrive by 18:00; the meeting begins promptly at 18:30.
Can I attend without contacting the lodge first?
No. Visitors and men interested in Freemasonry should contact the lodge before attending. A published meeting schedule does not make the private lodge meeting open to the public.
How do I ask about joining Freemasonry in Taiwan?
Begin by contacting Amity Lodge and briefly introducing yourself. Inquiry creates no obligation, and Freemasonry does not recruit; a man must ask of his own free will.
Are 共濟會 and 美生會 the same subject?
共濟會 is the Chinese search term commonly used for Freemasonry. In Taiwan, the Grand Lodge of China officially uses 美生會; Amity Lodge belongs to that jurisdiction.
